Welcome to Allergy-Free Austin–Our Austin allergists mission is to help people breathe free
Blue skies, beautiful weather—all reasons to love living in Austin, but that weather brings with it triggers for allergies to irritants like ragweed and cedar. Many people also experience allergies to grass, mold, dust mites, oak and pets. Other patients have breathing problems caused by asthma. Whatever the problem or trigger, our Austin allergists are trained to diagnose and treat patients, helping them to breathe free and experience a better quality of life.
Meet our Austin Allergists
Our Austin allergists are board-certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, and they are members of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, as well as the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Dr. Douglas Barstow, Jr. and Dr. Thomas Leath have the specialized training to treat children and adults for allergy and asthma problems. Patients at Allergy-Free Austin benefit from partnering with a board-certified doctor. From testing and diagnosis to treatment, it’s important to seek out a uniquely qualified physician like our Austin allergists.
Allergy-Free Austin Services
When you come to Allergy-Free Austin for allergy testing, you can rest assured that all allergy testing is performed in-house under the supervision of our Austin allergists. Once a diagnosis has been made, each patient will receive a treatment plan, created just for them and based on their examination, symptoms and test results. This plan may involve immunology in the form of allergy shots or allergy drops, used to help reduce the sensitivity to triggers that cause symptoms in the patient.
Patients with asthma, which is a chronic lung disease, can rely on the expertise of our Austin allergists as they accurately diagnose breathing problems and conditions and devise a specialized treatment plan. Allergy-Free Austin physicians and staff members work vigilantly to explain every detail of the treatment plan—from medications and treatments—to ensure that patients are able to care for themselves and family members with asthma.
